I don't want a costume...I want something that I can actually wear out and that doesn't look exactly like a uniform, it should just be inspired be one. I like all the different styles (sailor, with blazers, with vests, ect). Please help!!! I promise to give 10 points!!! | Pretty much all you need are skirts, and shirts you could wear with ties.

I THINK they're called sewing patterns.
Anyway - does anyone have any sites that have the pattern?

One LIKE that - except...I'm hoping the fact it looks strange is because of the materials she used.
Specifically the skirt and the "collar" of that shirt.
I wish I had better images, but I can't find many of the "style" my twin and I wanted for her Halloween costume.
(( She's being a bloodied schoolgirl. ))
Thanks in advance. | | I have found a site that sells them for less that you could make it. Or at least not much more than what you could make it for. | Could someone find me a picture of an anime, japanese schoolgirl? I'm doing a school project, and need an anime picture of a Japanese School Girl, wearing the classic, sailor style uniform. I'm having trouble finding one myself, so could someone please, either draw me one, or give me a link? This is for a school project, so I'd rather it not be too revealing... | Google: Japanese School Uniform Anime

Thanks! | Where to get a sailor dress? I'm 13, but I wear size 12. Where can I get a sailor dress, you know, V neck type, with a bow or something at the bottom of that. Almost like a Japanese schoolgirl uniform, but as a dress. Where can I buy one to wear EVERYDAY? I think they are so cute! I don't care what others think. One to wear EVERYDAY. Don't say ebay, or yahoo shopping or something. | Heres a couple places:

Please read ahead and tell me what to do because no, I'm not posting on the wrong category. An online forum called me a troll, but I'm not. I REALLY want some advice here :(
so a friend of mine had won a pass to an anime and comic convention going on these days, but his mom didn't let him go. (school work!!) so he was sad. But yesterday was his birthday so he decided to make it a dress-up party at his house, based on comic book and anime character. My girlfriend and I decided to go as Street Fighter characters. Basically I'd go as Ryu which is very simple for me just a normal karate outfit. (neighbour does Karate. I just added a black belt) and she'd go as Sakura Kasugano which is basically the typical japanese schoolgirl uniform. (she modified a Sailor Moon one she had for a previous cosplay convention) So we were all set, but the karate uniform was a bit tight for my body (no matter how loose the belt was) so we made a joke about swapping outfits: I'd go as Sakura she'd go as Ryu. We were only joking, but at the end of the day we thought that'd actually be a fun experience to try something different, so we did it. I went as Sakura. We had a great time and all. Nobody made a huge deal out of it. Problem came TODAY. Is about 10:00pm right now and I've been wearing Sakura's outfit since morning. I can't seem to get it off.. I'm a guy, I'm 15. I'm worried. Why am I enjoying wearing a GIRL uniform so much?? Party was yesterday, thats it!! It should step there. But some mysterious force made me wear it again today and LIKE IT!!. I don't want to tell anything to my gf or parents until I know a bit better how I feel (if that makes any sense) and actually very scared about their reactions too. But I know I'm not into guys, and I'm not trying to be a woman or anything. I dunno whats going on. Why am I suddenly feeling the urge to crossdress 24/7 ? What am I? What should I do? | Okay, here is what is going on. About 10% of males say that wearing feminine clothing brings a sense of pleasure... What? Are they crazy? No, they are normal, healthy, largely heterosexual males with one little kink hard-wired in their brains.
When these guys feminize themselves their brain releases dopamine, serotonin, and a host of other neurotransmitters. These chemicals produce sensations of well-being, pleasure, sexual gratification and a sense of bonding. It's as if cross-dressing fools the brain into thinking that there has been actual contact with a female. These neurotransmitters affect the reward centers of the brain - instant gratification. And because you cannot stop your brain from releasing neurotransmitters, it mimics the addiction response.
Psychologists regard it as a fetish. You are using objects as a substitute for human intimacy. They really don't consider it a problem, unless you do. Some guys do get really odd with this fetish. They refuse to regard it as a fetish. They refuse to believe that their brain erred on its interpretation of cross-dressing. They prefer to believe that they really did have contact with a female... their own female side within. So they believe that their masculine side was turned-on by their feminine side, and they fall in love with their feminine side. They work hard at developing their own female alter-ego, and give "her" a feminine name.
As long as you keep things under control then there is no real problem. Since most guys with this condition are heterosexuals, they consider dressing in feminine clothing as a problem. It makes them feel shame and guilt. So they limit their cross-dressing and keep it private. Cool. They are taking the necessary steps without professional therapy. Remember, this mimics the addiction response, so you have to keep it under control, or it will take control over you. You can set your own limits just live within them.
NOTE: Since all you are doing is responding to your neurotransmitters, then if you masturbate and release a big rush of neurotransmitters, then you will experience a temporary depletion of them and for a few minutes you will feel disgusted with your cross-dressing. Wait a little while and soon you'll be back to your old fetish ways again. | Sailor fuku: are they really *that* common in Japan? So, this is a question for those who either live in, or have lived in Japan. The stereotypical Japanese schoolgirl is usually in a box pleated knee length skirt and a sailor top, with a ribbon around the collar.
Is this sort of uniform as common as popular culture would lead you to believe, or is it more of a "typical occurance" which, in reality, only happens once in a while? | Yes. It is not stereotype. You can find them in the uniform in the train, subway and bus easily.
Sailor fuku and blazer are popular.
Both design varys.

gakushin.kyo2.jp/usr/gakushin/052… | Questions for those who live(d) in Japan? I've got into a few debates over this and I wanted to clear it up once and for all.
1) The stereotypical Japanese schoolgirl is in a pleated skirt, a sailor top, white socks and pennyloafers. How many schools actually enforce this? Is it as common as the blazer type uniform?
2) How often do those that actually live in Japan eat sushi or sashimi? They're the most recognised food outside its borders, but how often is it eaten in it's country of origin?
3) I've heard a lot of horror stories regarding Nihonjin 'racism' - ie, "All gaijin speak english, don't know how to use chopsticks. Japan is the ONLY country with four seasons." and often asking gaijin, especially Caucasian gaijin, "Can you eat XXX?" (which is really quite rude! Of course I can eat XXX, whether I like it or not is a different matter.) Well, regarding that, is it truly as widespread as that? Would a Caucasian tourist be charged more for services, ie a nightclub, or the like?
I know I sound really ignorant; but help! | everything is still the same, they're still traditional cities all over nihon...sushi and sashimi is a favorite SNACK...
once you visit a country, make sure you can adopt, specially to a polite society like japan...be careful with your words and actions for nihonjin people are quite sensitive... | Help putting together an outfit inspired by a Japanese schoolgirl uniform?
